Job Summary: 
 
The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring the pool area and enforcing safety rules. You will be responding to emergencies and ensuring all pool equipment and facilities are working. Maintaining a safe pool environment will be top priority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of all swimmers by preventative measures and minimizing hazardous situations.
- Enforcement of all pool rules and regulations in a polite and courteous manner.
- Provide quick response to emergency situations in water/deck area.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance: adjust feeders, when necessary, check operations of pump and flow meter, vacuum pool, wash down deck and pump room, clean stainless steel and filters, record pool readings, etc.
- Be knowledgeable on all aquatic information and programming.
- Display a professional appearance with appropriate dress/uniform.
- Is timely and punctual when reporting to work.
- Ensure the aquatic area is safe, clean and orderly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Job Description
The Skaneateles Community Center/Arch Amenities Group is seeking a Part-time Service Technician. Under the direction of the Facility/Ice Director, the Maintenance Technician will provide overall maintenance services to the facility related to pool & rink equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC general mechanics and carpentry. Must be self-motivated and well organized.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and repair the physical plant of the facility.
- Provide preventative maintenance to the pools including repair and or replacement of pumps, piping, filters, vacuums, chemical controllers and heating system. Clean pool, replace filters and maintain water sanitation. Must maintain a current Certified Pool Operator’s Certificate.
- Maintain and repair lighting systems. Conducts and records monthly testing results.
- Maintain and inspect heating and air conditioning systems.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs of boilers and water heater systems.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs of Ice Resurfacer. Maintains maintenance logs.
- Preventative maintenance of the rink chiller system; dasher boards, rink doors, heaters, scoreboard, painting etc.
- Maintains the Safety data Sheets and Chemical Log index ensuring inventory checklists.
- Assists with snow removal and proper clearance of exits. Assists with landscaping.
- Responds to emergencies, spills, accidents, pool incidents, etc.
- Maintains SCC Asset Management records.
- Maintains fire and safety inspections, vendor service records and reports.
- All other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:
The Fitness Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the group exercise program at the facility. This includes program development, instructor supervision, class scheduling, member engagement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and motivated leader who can inspire a culture of health, service, and community through innovative fitness experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the General Manager of Health and Fitness to create, maintain, and enhance the group exercise schedule.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and coach group exercise instructors.
- Evaluate instructor performance and recommend improvements or changes as needed.
- Communicate regularly with instructors regarding scheduling, feedback, and expectations.
- Teach a minimum of two group fitness classes per week to maintain credibility with staff and members.
- Ensure group exercise areas are clean, safe, and fully equipped at all times.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and facilities teams for maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep.
- Assist in the preparation of the department’s annual budget, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure alignment with goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain members through workshops, special events, and quality programming.
Qualifications:
