Job Summary: 
 
The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring the pool area and enforcing safety rules. You will be responding to emergencies and ensuring all pool equipment and facilities are working. Maintaining a safe pool environment will be top priority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of all swimmers by preventative measures and minimizing hazardous situations.
- Enforcement of all pool rules and regulations in a polite and courteous manner.
- Provide quick response to emergency situations in water/deck area.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance: adjust feeders, when necessary, check operations of pump and flow meter, vacuum pool, wash down deck and pump room, clean stainless steel and filters, record pool readings, etc.
- Be knowledgeable on all aquatic information and programming.
- Display a professional appearance with appropriate dress/uniform.
- Is timely and punctual when reporting to work.
- Ensure the aquatic area is safe, clean and orderly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school education or comparable work experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Valid standard First Aid certification
- Valid Lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross
- Certified Pool Operator certificate

Job Summary:
The Personal Trainer is responsible for working one-on-one with clients to create customized fitness programs tailored to their individual goals. Looking for trainers who are available between the hours of 7am-12pm and or 4pm-9pm. Personal Trainers guide, motivate, and monitor clients’ performance, ensuring proper exercise techniques and a safe, effective workout experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a client base by meeting or exceeding personal training sales goals as set by the facility manager.
- Deliver personalized training sessions that meet the client’s goals and fitness level.
- Able to run and develop Small Group Training programs for all member groups to enhance the fitness experience
- Sports Specific Specialties to run in the mornings or evenings depending on skill set
- Ensure clients use equipment correctly and perform exercises with proper form to prevent injury.
- Promote all facility programs and services, referring clients to additional offerings for a well-rounded experience.
- Stay informed on the facility’s calendar of events, programs, and promotions.
- Keep current with industry trends, training techniques, and health and wellness best practices.
- Participate in facility events, member engagement activities, and staff meetings as directed.
- Provide outstanding customer service and solicit guest feedback via comment cards and other tools.
- Enforce access policies to ensure a safe, secure, and member-only environment.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification
- College degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field (preferred).
- Current certification from a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, NSPA).
- CPR, First Aid, and other safety certifications as required by the client.

- Must be able to lift 45-pound weight plates.

Job Summary:
The Fitness Specialist is responsible for developing and running Sports Specific Strength and Conditioning programs at the Community Center. This includes program development, instructor supervision, class scheduling, member engagement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and motivated leader who can inspire a culture of health, service, and community through innovative fitness experiences. Areas of expertise are strength training for athletes of all sports ranging from 5-18. Examples of programs Fitness Specialist will run that are established at the Community center: Learn to Lift for Kids, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Softball, Swimming or any other sport experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Fitness Director to run sports specific strength and conditioning programs
- Communicate regularly with Fitness Director on progress of programs and how to help outreach for Local Sports teams
- Create new ideas to bring in outside groups in Central New York to train high-performance athletes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Fitness Trainings or Sports Conditioning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment and the ability to work with kids of all backgrounds
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Education & Certifications

- Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies and or products, when applicable.

- Helps ensure the facility is only accessed by actual members and/or guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times.
- Greets each and every guest with a smile and direct eye contact.
- Goes the extra mile for members and guests by offering to make reservations, find directions, look up phone numbers, etc.
- Uses time efficiently throughout shift by checking equipment, locker rooms, inventory, etc.
- Ensures proper coverage when it’s necessary to leave the area.
