Front Desk Receptionist
Skaneateles Community Center and Arch Amenities Group, the world’s leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking a Front Desk Associate based in Skaneateles, NY. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for greeting guests and members and must be well versed in the facility and the different services and amenities offered. The Front Desk Associate is able to quickly develop strong relationships and trust, warmly welcome new clients, and answer inquiries. Additionally, the Front Desk Associate may need to process transactions, handle money, and contribute to facility cleanliness.

Responsibilities:
- Ensures the “Arch Amenities Group Experience” for members and guests by maintaining the standards set in Arch Amenities Group Basics to Excellence (BTE), Arch Amenities Group Mission Statement/Values, Standards and Expectations, and Arch Amenities Group Brand Standards.
- Adheres to policies of the facility and Arch Amenities Group.
- Report any incident or accident to the Manager on duty.
- Submits all paperwork and financial reporting, when applicable, in accordance with Arch Amenities Group policy.
- Develops and maintains accurate department maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance and repair.
- Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies and or products, when applicable.
- Becomes knowledgeable about the facility and its amenities in order to effectively communicate with members and/or guests.
- Helps ensure the facility is only accessed by actual members and/or guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times.
- Greets each and every guest with a smile and direct eye contact.
- Goes the extra mile for members and guests by offering to make reservations, find directions, look up phone numbers, etc.
- Uses time efficiently throughout shift by checking equipment, locker rooms, inventory, etc.
- Ensures proper coverage when it’s necessary to leave the area.
- Keeps area clear of clutter and personal effects.
- Informs co-worker(s) of pertinent information at the end of the shift. Maintains and updates staff communication book.
- Informs facility manager of any member, guest, or facility issues.
- Enrolls members and guests in programs such as children’s programming, aquatics, and ice programs. Makes reservations for personal training, group exercise classes, when applicable.
- Receives payments for goods and services and properly accounts for the money. Reconciles daily sales, deposits, and receipts, when applicable.
- Assists staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain facility and prepare for special events.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate preferred, but open to students with correct and approved working papers for NYS.
- Customer service experience
- Previous experience handling money
- Excellent communication, customer service skills, and work ethic

Front Desk Coordinator

The Skaneateles Community Center is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator. The Front Desk Coordinator, under the direction of the Membership Director, will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the facility to include supervising, training, and scheduling of front desk staff, implementing and monitoring facility supervision. The Front Desk Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring that the highest levels of guest satisfaction are attained by leading and motivating staff to achieve goals and exceed guest expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Submits all paperwork and financial reporting, including payroll, in accordance with Arch Amenities Group policy.
- Provides excellent customer service and helps monitor guest feedback through the use of comment cards and other customer care techniques. Helps to supervise and follow up on guest requests and comments.
- Assists in the training, and supervision of all front desk staff.
- Assists in developing the staffing schedule to ensure adequate coverage.
- Supervises effective daily operations including opening and closing procedures, facility inspections, and general facility maintenance.
- Ensures that all Front Desk staff are implementing Arch Amenities Group Basics-To-Excellence program.
- Assists staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain facility and prepare for special events.
- Helps ensure that the facility is only accessed by actual members and/or guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times.
- Assists in conducting orientations including an introduction to the facility, services, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Open availability, including nights & weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or business preferred but not required.
- 2+ years in a customer service management position, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Effective leadership skills and a strong work ethic.

Lifeguard
- Ensure safety of all swimmers by preventative measures and minimizing hazardous situations.
- Enforcement of all pool rules and regulations in a polite and courteous manner.
- Provide quick response to emergency situations in water/deck area.

The Child Care Attendant is responsible for assisting with the operation of the facility nursery and or child care. This position requires continuous supervision of children and initiation of fun activities as well as making sure the nursery is clean and organized at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.

Pickleball Instructor
The Skaneateles Community Center, is seeking a Pickleball Instructor. The Pickleball Instructor is responsible for teaching the game of Pickleball to members of the facility. They provide lessons and offer advice and tips to players at all levels, from beginners to those at advanced stages. Along with teaching the game, Pickleball pros are responsible for coordinating Tournaments & Leagues.
Responsibilities:
- Reports any incidents or accidents to the Programming Director and or General Manager.
- Assists in developing monthly client reports.
- Submits all paperwork and financial reporting, if applicable, in accordance with the Skaneateles Community Center / Arch Amenities Group policy.
- Assists and reports to the Facility Director needed Pickleball equipment maintenance, routine preventative maintenance, and repair.
- Helps maintain a monthly inventory of Pickleball supplies and equipment.
- Understands the use and benefits of SCC services, products, programs, and activities by participating in regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops.
- Provides excellent customer service and helps monitor guest feedback using comment cards, online surveys, and other customer care techniques. Follows up on guest requests and comments about Pickleball Programming.
- Helps ensure facility is accessed only by actual members and/or guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times. Helps uphold day pass rule policy, and assists the Front desk with the collection of all guest fees.
- Have a deep knowledge of the intricacies of the game.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the courts and surrounding areas by preparing the Gymnasium before games and client training sessions.
- Follows the court reservation system to ensure a smooth and even flow of traffic on and off courts.
- Offers all instructional services including private and semi private lessons, small groups, clinics, team coaching, and tactics and strategy.
- Assists in the coordination of all competitive events including special tournaments.
- Implements programs for adults and juniors.
- Submits all lesson and /or sales forms to the Programming Director.
- Attends staff and facility meetings as needed.
- Promotes the facility and its amenities to potential members when applicable.
- Maintains and relays crucial Pickleball Marketing information to the Marketing Manager.

Qualifications:
- Comparable work experience
- Previous Pickleball Pro experience preferred
- Must be knowledgeable about Pickleball skills, strategies, and game theory.
- Able to demonstrate a variety of Pickleball skills and techniques.
- Teaching certifications from USTA or USPTA
