Job Summary:
The Child Care Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while their parents or guardians are utilizing on-site services or attending events. The attendant supervises play, ensures children’s safety, and promotes positive social interactions in accordance with facility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Safety
- Actively monitor and care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years (depending on facility policy).
- Maintain a clean, secure, and child-friendly environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Engagement & Interaction
- Organize and lead age-appropriate activities such as games, arts and crafts, story time, and free play.
- Promote a positive and respectful atmosphere among children.
- Provide comfort and basic care for children as needed (e.g., feeding, diapering, conflict resolution).
Parent & Staff Communication
- Greet parents/guardians, manage check-in and check-out procedures.
- Communicate any concerns, behavioral issues, or incidents promptly and professionally.

- Sanitize toys, equipment, and play areas regularly in compliance with health standards.

Job Summary:
The Skating Instructor is responsible for teaching ice skating skills to individuals or groups of all ages and skill levels, in a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment. This role delivers structured instruction in accordance with established curriculum guidelines and provides skill development, feedback, and motivation to skaters.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Coaching
- Plan and conduct ice skating lessons for beginners through advanced levels, including figure skating or hockey fundamentals.
- Provide individualized attention, demonstrations, and hands-on guidance during lessons.
- Adapt instruction techniques based on the age, ability, and learning style of participants.
- Offer encouragement and skill progression recommendations to help students reach their goals.
Safety & Supervision
- Monitor on-ice safety and ensure all skaters follow rink rules and guidelines.
- Perform warm-ups and cool-downs and instruct proper technique to prevent injuries.
- Assist with first aid and emergency procedures when needed.
Program Support
- Assist with program registration, skill assessments, and progress reports.
- Participate in seasonal shows, events, and exhibitions as needed.
- Maintain accurate attendance and lesson records.
Facility & Equipment Use
- Ensure skaters are properly equipped with fitted skates and safety gear.
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues to management.
- Help maintain a clean and orderly rink environment before, during, and after sessions.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Prior skating experience required; professional or competitive background in figure skating or hockey preferred.
- Previous teaching or coaching experience strongly preferred.
- U.S. Figure Skating, Learn to Skate USA, PSA, or USA Hockey instructor certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.

Job Description
The Skaneateles Community Center/Arch Amenities Group is seeking a Part-time Service Technician. Under the direction of the Facility/Ice Director, the Maintenance Technician will provide overall maintenance services to the facility related to pool & rink equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC general mechanics and carpentry. Must be self-motivated and well organized.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and repair the physical plant of the facility.
- Provide preventative maintenance to the pools including repair and or replacement of pumps, piping, filters, vacuums, chemical controllers and heating system. Clean pool, replace filters and maintain water sanitation. Must maintain a current Certified Pool Operator’s Certificate.
- Maintain and repair lighting systems. Conducts and records monthly testing results.
- Maintain and inspect heating and air conditioning systems.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs of boilers and water heater systems.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs of Ice Resurfacer. Maintains maintenance logs.
- Preventative maintenance of the rink chiller system; dasher boards, rink doors, heaters, scoreboard, painting etc.
- Maintains the Safety data Sheets and Chemical Log index ensuring inventory checklists.
- Assists with snow removal and proper clearance of exits. Assists with landscaping.
- Responds to emergencies, spills, accidents, pool incidents, etc.
- Maintains SCC Asset Management records.
- Maintains fire and safety inspections, vendor service records and reports.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Maintain and further the positive image of the Skaneateles Community Center within the community
Qualifications

The Skaneateles Community Center Fitness team is looking for a Run Coach. The Run Coach is responsible for designing, delivering, and supervising safe and effective running training programs for individuals or groups. The coach supports athletes in improving performance, endurance, technique, and overall fitness while promoting injury prevention, motivation, and long-term athlete development.
Job Responsibilities Included:
Design individualized and group running training plans based on athlete goals, fitness levels, and experience
Lead structured running sessions, workouts, drills, and conditioning activities
Provide instruction on running mechanics, pacing, breathing, and race strategy
Monitor athlete progress and adjust training plans as needed
Promote injury prevention through proper warm-ups, cool-downs, and recovery practices
Offer motivation, accountability, and constructive feedback to athletes
Ensure a safe training environment and adherence to health and safety guidelines

Job Summary:
The Fitness Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the group exercise program at the facility. This includes program development, instructor supervision, class scheduling, member engagement, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the General Manager of Health and Fitness to create, maintain, and enhance the group exercise schedule.

Qualifications:
- Proven ability to teach a wide variety of group fitness formats.

- Report any incident or accident to the Manager on duty.

- Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies and or products, when applicable.
