Arch Amenities Group (AAG) is seeking a seasoned senior leader to direct overall operations at the Skaneateles Community Center. This role carries the overall responsibility for the direction, operation, and success of the center, and will exemplify our standards and champion a culture of wellness, community, and engagement while providing a happy and healthy environment for our members.

The new General Manager will join a talented collection of professionals at the world’s largest amenities management firm. These individuals have chosen Arch to develop their career and to develop their skillsets amongst the best group of wellness professionals in the world.

The General Manager will ensure the club meets or exceeds financial goals, while providing remarkable leadership in areas of customer service, team member relations, sales, in-center business performance, and member participation. The GM will also provide daily support, leadership, motivation, and development to about 150 team members.

The GM is responsible for coaching, communication, alignment, and holding Department Managers accountable to Arch Amenities performance standards. The GM will also act as AAG’s ambassador to the client and the community and build the reputation of the club through demonstrated actions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year

  • Leadership: Perform daily walk throughs to ensure the facility is in optimal condition, members have exactly what they need, and employees are engaged in their roles, understand their impact and provide the highest possible level of service.
  • Continuous Improvement: Review employee engagement data and customer satisfaction feedback and leverage that data to lead improvements to the club and results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health fitness or business management field
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a large multi-amenity facility or multi-unit retail enterprise.
  • Demonstrated track record of financial success including implementing and achieving strategy goals, hitting membership targets and employee and member satisfaction goals.
  • Must be able to perform duties typical of a health and fitness facility including lifting and moving lifting equipment (25-45 lbs).

Arch Amenities Group, the world’s leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking an Aquatics Instructor at the Skaneateles Community Center. The Aquatics Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction for all levels of American Red Cross swim lessons to participants of all ages and ability.
  • Effectively teach all levels of swim instruction under American Red Cross standards, possessing full knowledge of the skills at each level.
  • Effectively communicate with parents the appropriate class enrollment level for all children.
  • Maintain a familiarity with the registration process and current class schedules.
  • Provide ongoing, effective communication with reception desk regarding all classes and programming.
  • Prepare award certificates, patches, and cards upon completion of the course.

The Skaneateles Community Center / Arch Amenities Group, the world’s leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking a Housekeeper Supervisor. The Housekeeper Supervisor will also perform various functions to keep the Community Center and its environment safe, clean, attractive, and comfortable to members and guests.  Interacts positively and professionally with all staff, members, guests and prospects while monitoring club cleanliness and safety at all times.

General Functions:

Under the direction of the Facilities Director, the Housekeeping Supervisor will lead the team in maintaining safety, cleanliness and attractiveness of the SCC buildings and grounds.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years’ experience supervising staff
  • Minimum of three years janitorial experience in a large facility
  • Certified Pool Operator (within 6 months)
  • Understanding of safety standards, customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Communicates well with assigned staff, co-workers, members and vendors.
  • Must have and maintain a driver’s license free from substance related infractions.

Work Environment:

  • The work environment is both in and out of doors. When indoors the environment is temperature controlled with normal to moderate noise levels. When working outside the environment is subject to weather extremes, subject to moderate to loud noise levels and subject to insects.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules, coordinates, assigns and instructs custodial staff in completing cleaning/maintenance tasks. Assures that work is done to quality standards.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, and directs staff.
  • Assures staff receives training appropriate for position including safety training on the use of equipment, departmental policies and standards as well as organizational policies.

  • Assists with set up and cleaning of rooms for special events including carrying and lifting chairs and tables.

General Functions:

Under the direction of the Ice Rinks Coordinator, a Rink Guard is responsible for the safety and well being of participants on the ice rinks.


Responsibilities/Functions/Duties/Tasks

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure participant safety by controlling skating traffic, checking hand stamps and communicating with skaters of potential safety violations and risks.
  • Assist injured skaters with first aide. Complete required accident/incident reports.
  • Assist with light maintenance all public and common areas.
  • Perform routine skating session maintenance.
  • Assist with Ice Arena special events, programs etc.
  • Handout and collect rental Skates & Helmets.

The Marketing Associate is responsible for researching, compiling, formatting, and assisting in all areas of marketing communication and social media efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to policies of AAG.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the Corporate Operations Directors and onsite managers/directors.
  • Become an expert on the company marketing approach and identified marketing and communications essentials to ensure increased engagement and overall use of systems and processes among Corporate Operations Directors and onsite Managers/Directors.
  • Conduct new hire and ongoing trainings with onsite managers/directors within the corporate fitness and lifestyle division to ensure a proper understanding of the marketing approach and resources available.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining users, documents and brand kits within the Knowledge Network (an internal employee portal) and CANVA Enterprise platform.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Operations Directors and onsite Managers/Directors to collect best practices related to marketing and engagement within the corporate fitness and lifestyle divisions and assist in updating the annual marketing strategy playbook accordingly.
  • Conduct annual web and social media audits, as assigned, to provide suggestions for improvement and areas of opportunity based on corporately identified best practices.
  • Assist the General Manager and Directors of each Department at the Skaneateles Community Center in setting up systems at the site-level to optimize them from a marketing perspective. This may include, but is not limited to email, lead tracking, CANVA, UPSHOW, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Assist facility directors in creating, editing, and providing approval on collateral and communications, as requested.
  • Provide individualized site support to managed properties, as assigned, for a specified period. Consulting support may include (but is not limited to) strategy and messaging, creative development, social media, etc. and will be provided to the onsite manager/director with the support of the Corporate Operations Director.
  • Support the development of a month end marketing Client Report templates, as assigned, to include all corporate support and results provided in the previous month.
  • Assist General Manager and Directors with the creation, distribution, and scheduling of compelling social content across digital platforms to include Facebook and Instagram for the corporate fitness and lifestyle divisions.
  • Assist General Manager and Directors of the Community Center in identifying new vendors to partner with as it relates to establishing general awareness and generating revenue for the Skaneateles Community Centers individual Departments of Membership, Fitness, Aquatics, Youth Programming, Ice Activities, Facility Rentals, and Birthday Parties.
  • Assist in new website development and regular updates, as needed,
  • Attend Directors Team Meetings, Marketing meetings with Senior Marketing Director, Board Meetings, and Meetings with Senior Regional Director.
  • Support the General Manager and Directors of the Skaneateles Community Center with additional duties as assigned.
