Childcare Attendant - Pre-School & Before & After School
Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.

Facility Service Technician
The Skaneateles Community Center/Arch Amenities Group is seeking a Full-time Service Technician. Under the direction of the Facility/Ice Director, the Maintenance Technician will provide overall maintenance services to the facility related to pool & rink equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC general mechanics and carpentry. Must be self-motivated and well organized.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and repair the physical plant of the facility.
- Provide preventative maintenance to the pools including repair and or replacement of pumps, piping, filters, vacuums, chemical controllers and heating system. Clean pool, replace filters and maintain water sanitation. Must maintain a current Certified Pool Operator’s Certificate.
- Maintain and repair lighting systems. Conducts and records monthly testing results.
- Maintain and inspect heating and air conditioning systems.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs of boilers and water heater systems.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs of Ice Resurfacer. Maintains maintenance logs.
- Preventative maintenance of the rink chiller system; dasher boards, rink doors, heaters, scoreboard, painting etc.
- Maintains the Safety data Sheets and Chemical Log index ensuring inventory checklists.
- Assists with snow removal and proper clearance of exits. Assists with landscaping.
- Responds to emergencies, spills, accidents, pool incidents, etc.
- Maintains SCC Asset Management records.
- Maintains fire and safety inspections, vendor service records and reports.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Aquatics Director
- Ensures the “Arch Amenities Group Experience” for guests by maintaining the standards set in Arch Amenities Group Basics to Excellence (BTE), Arch Amenities Group Mission Statement/Values; Standards and Expectations, and Arch Amenities Group Brand Standards.
- Adheres to policies of Arch Amenities Group.
- Assists in the development of a comprehensive standard facility operations manual, including written policies and procedures for all facility services, administration, and maintenance using the Arch Amenities Group operations template.
- Submits all paperwork and financial reporting, when applicable, in accordance with Arch Amenities Group policy.
- Develops and maintains accurate department maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance and repair.
- Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and or products. Orders all pool supplies.
- Writes articles or press releases for the department, when applicable.
- Creates a team of service providers to meet all aspects of professionalism and service demands.
- Maintains a fully staffed department by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training all staff.
- Ensures the staff is fully knowledgeable on the use and benefits of services, products, programs, and activities by conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops.
- Ensures appropriate department supervisory coverage through use of a Manager on Duty (MOD) system and participates in the facility’s MOD schedule.
- Assesses all department employees’ progress continually; coaches employees with positive reinforcement, and disciplines, when necessary, fairly and consistently; participates in annual performance evaluations, and, when necessary, assists in the termination process.
- Provides excellent customer service and monitors guest feedback through the use of comment cards and other customer care techniques. Supervises and follows up on department’s guest requests and comments.
- Ensures facility is only accessed by actual members and/or guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times.
- Develops annual budget for pool operations and ensures fiscal responsibility through efficient scheduling of department and, when necessary, makes changes to stay within budgetary guidelines.
- Creates and implements an annual marketing and programming plan to promote all aquatic activities and encourage member participation and utilization.
- Develops member participation and recruitment plans; outlining in detail all promotions, programs, and, any expenditures.
- Designs, with the use of templates, forms, flyers, and promotional materials to be utilized in daily facility operations.
- Prepares bulletins and flyers for display on bulletin board, intranet, and possible newsletter.
- Maintains bulletin board(s).
- Ensures that the indoor and, if applicable, outdoor pools are clean and functioning properly at all times.
- Maintains pool licenses and verifies that all pool employees have current certifications.

- Associates Degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred in the area of Physical Education, Exercise Science, Health Education or related field.
- Minimum of one-year experience in an aquatic related management position.
- Certified as a lifeguard, pool operator, CPR, and First Aid (WSI and/or LGI certification preferred).

Ice Resurfacer / Zamboni Driver / Ice Rink Monitor
General Functions:
Under the direction of the Ice Rinks Coordinator, these positions are responsible for the safety and well being of participants on the ice rinks.
Responsibilities/Functions/Duties/Tasks
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure participant safety by controlling skating traffic, checking hand stamps and communicating with skaters of potential safety violations and risks.
- Assist injured skaters with first aide. Complete required accident/incident reports.
- Assist with light maintenance all public and common areas.
- Perform routine skating session maintenance.
- Assist with Ice Arena special events, programs etc.
- Handout and collect rental Skates & Helmets.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Drive the Ice Resurfacer and maintain ice surface.
- Open and close of the facility when required.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Assist with enforcing policies for the safety and well-being of the public.
- Perform routine building cleaning tasks such as, emptying trash and keeping the grounds free of debris including rink locker rooms, players boxes, boxes penalty and scorer’s boxes and spectator bleachers.
- Snow removal as needed.
- Perform general floor care and cleaning, including sweeping and spot mopping.
- Keep soap and paper dispensers stocked.
- Set up, tear down and clean up after scheduled events such as swim meets, tournaments, classes, parties, etc.
- Cleans regularly assigned areas as well other areas as needed.
- Complete required training.

Ice Rink Coordinator
General Functions:
Under the direction of the Facilities/Ice Rinks Director, the Ice Rinks Coordinator will provide overall services related to Ice Rink, operations, and variety of facility maintenance.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
· Operate Ice Resurfacers.
· Provide regular Ice maintenance detail including, edging, chopping, dry shaving for a level and well-maintained ice surface with visible lines and logos.
· Assist with making of new ice surface to include painting of lines and surface.
· Maintain rental skates and sharpen members/customers skates.
· Train new part-time maintenance rink staff on Ice Resurfacer operations an ice maintenance.
· Conduct preventative maintenance and blade changes of Ice Resurfacers.
· Record Ice refrigeration readings.
· Sharpen Rental Skates and Customers Skates
· Maintain a well maintained and organized skate room.
· Provide supervision of facility for safety of the members and visitors.
· Provide minor repairs needed in and around facility.
· Cleaning of rink glass, locker rooms are supporting rink facilities.
· Conduct snow removal around facility and proper clearance of emergency exits.
· All other duties as assigned.
Hours: Evenings and/or weekends.
